D-Train was two years a head of me in High School. He not only sung his heart out in Erasmus Hall Choir, he also sung in church. D-Train also played on the high school Foot Ball team. Several days I and many other students would get hit in the hallways when the period bell would ring, the football team would run students over in the halls. Those were the days. During Battel of the DJ's Parties, entertainers were being formed. Like Jimmy Spicer, Aaron Hanson. Hungry for your love also went to Erasmus Hall High School. Barbara Stisand. Singer. And Gabe Kaplan from Welcome Back Carter, also went to Erasmus Hall. Anyone born in that Era. Was Cut with a special Cloth....Peace and Soul Brooklyn.....

Como falar de uma obra prima do ano 1982, é simplesmente uma raridade que não faz mais, é uma pena. Extraordinário

Met alle respect voor boe Rudy de Queljoe voor zijn uitzonderlijke gitaarspel, maar tijdens dit concert blijkt de ware meesterhand van Massada ongeevenaard. Boe Chris Latul tilde Massada naar een niveau welke zij naar mijn mening nooit meer hebben kunnen bereiken nadat hij uit de groep werd gezet, dit is toch het ware Massada-geluid. Met name het gitaarspel op het nummer Impulse of Rhytm is subliem en dan natuurlijk het tweede nummer welke gelijk na Aroembae wordt gespeeld. Indertijd was het een instrumentaal nummer en werd het ‘Toma’ genoemd, nu hebben ze er tekst bij gemaakt en heet het ‘Baronda’. Heeft naar mijn mening in kracht ingeboet. Massada heeft het nooit van de vocale kwaliteiten moeten hebben, was denk ik altijd de zwakke schakel van het geheel gebleken (en dan heb ik het over de zangpartijen van de lead zanger). De samenzang op het nummer ‘Air mata toempah’ is daarentegen weer prachtig en naast het prachtige gitaarspel van de originele solo gitarist uiteraard de fenomenale percussie. Dat een band bestaande uit leden van zo’n relatief kleine bevolkingsgroep (circa 60.000 zielen op een bevolking van 16 miljoen) op muzikaal gebied toch tot de absolute muzikale top van Nederland behoort, zegt wat over de muzikale kwaliteiten van het Molukse volk. Het was daarom ook geen wonder dat wijlen boe Jimmy Silawanebessy de eerste The Voice Senior won.
